Are there any limitations on the hosting?
Our hosting is designed for authors, writers, book bloggers, and others in the book world. We do not allow websites that consume significant server resources.
Video hosting and streaming are not allowed. If you want videos on your site, please host them on YouTube, Vimeo, or other video platforms designed for streaming video—many WordPress plugins stream videos from major streaming platforms to your website.
We do not allow websites focused primarily on general shopping or dropshipping sites. You may sell your books and related products from your website.
While we offer “unlimited design” assistance, we limit our services to reasonable assistance with designs and functionality that further your author platform.

How do we know this isn’t some low-end web host that barely works?

While you need to provide the text content and a bit of guidance for our design team, we’ll handle all the heavy lifting for design and deployment. So write that next book, and we’ll help you make it shine on your website. Of course, if we design the book cover, we be thrilled to help you show it off.
Will you design my WordPress site for me?
Yes. The Monkey’s Design Team would be happy to design an amazing site for you. Plus, whenever you launch a new book or add a book trailer, we’ll help you get it onto your site!
Will you help migrate my existing WordPress site?
Yes. We’ll be happy to help move your website from its current host to our platform. Please note that we may have trouble supporting sites that we did not design. We’ll give it our best shot, but be prepared for us to offer to rebuild and improve your existing site.
Please note that our service is for self-hosted WordPress sites, not free sites hosted on WordPress.com. If you have a paid WordPress.com account, we may be able to migrate it. Please contact us for more information.

Are there any limitations on email marketing?
Our email marketing package is designed for authors, writers, and bloggers. We do not allow SPAM.
As we use the MailPoet email marketing platform, you are subject to their terms, conditions, and rules, which are very similar to those of other quality email marketing providers.
What if I have more than 50,000 subscribers?
If you have more than 50,000 subscribers, you are rocking it as an author! Congratulations. We’re impressed.
Please use the contact form to send us a message. Include the number of subscribers that you currently have and how often you generally send out newsletters. We’ll get back to you with specific options for marketing-master authors like you.
Will you help me migrate from Mailchimp or other providers?
Yes. If you are currently using a different email marketing provider, we’ll help you move your list.
Once you sign up, we’ll work together to export your list from your current provider, validate and clean it, and import it into MailPoet via your new website’s administrative interface.
Once imported, MailPoet will email each of your contacts to confirm that they want to remain on your email marketing list. This is the best way to maintain a high-quality list with good open and click rates.
What should I do if my list is old and I haven’t emailed them in a while?
Please contact us and provide some details about your list. We can help you run a validation scan for bad email addresses.
When we import your list into our email marketing platform, your contacts will receive an email that requires them to confirm that they want to receive emails from you.

If you currently have a “free domain” that is included as part of a hosting package, you need to transfer your domain BEFORE you cancel your hosting plan.

Can I transfer my domain to you?
We believe that it is in an author’s best interest to register their domain with a company that specializes in domain registration.
Most major hosting companies make transferring domains as easy as possible, but some web developers and a few hosting providers are known to hold domain names “hostage.” If you register or transfer to a reputable company, you’ll always have access to and control of your domain.
